The 46th President of the United States of America (Joe Biden), who assumed power in Jan 2021, citing vast experience, is on the verge of committing a major geo-political blunder in Ukraine, which could unsettle the powers of both US and EU, for many decades to come.
President Reagan (USA) has the greatest vision for US, and Europe, and laid the great geo-political foundation, on which the modern US and EU stand. This vision became a geo-political reality in mid-1990’s, and was strongly supported by President George Bush senior (USA), Prime Minister John Major (UK), Chancellor Helmut Kohl (West Germany), President Jacques Chirac (France), and General Secretary Gorbachev (USSR), and their successors.
The fusion of the Eastern and Western European nations, created vast economic opportunities, and contributed to the economic prosperity of US, EU and the rest of the world, in the last 3 decades.
President Biden’s headlong rush into Ukraine, may be considered as equivalent to “turning President Reagan’s geo-political strategy on its head”. This could not only destroy peace and stability in Europe, but could also destroy the economic gains accrued by US, Europe, and the rest of the world, in the last 3 decades. The side effects of the geo-political failure in Europe, could reverberate all across the World.
President Biden did not show good respect for the Minsk accords, and did not pursue the path followed by EU leaders, for solving the Ukraine crisis. President Zelensky does not have a grand justification, for the big claims he made for Ukraine; and President Biden does not have a grand plan, to solve the Ukraine crisis. Together, President Zelensky and President Biden destroyed whatever peace and hope that existed in Ukraine, and led Ukraine into a bloody war and despair.
By applying economic sanctions on Russia, President Biden sunk the budding economic prosperity of (Eastern) Europe into the drains, and is poisoning the minds of people and all organizations, including NATO.
It is ridiculous, that EU had to apply economic sanctions upon natural resources, which are abundantly available in Europe, and the policy is grossly against the principles of “A Whole Europe, A Free Europe” articulated by US.
“Why the West does not consider the limitation of the rights of the European people, to access natural resources of Europe, as a destruction of democracy and their freedom”? This question could surely stare at the face of Western nations, for a very long time to come, and test the mettle and strength of the Western democracies.
If President Biden, does not seek a peaceful solution for Ukraine, the end result could be a very chaotic economic and political mess, which could push the whole of Europe and US, into an abyss of misery.
